Nutrition is one of the most contentious fields, where researchers, scientists, healthcare professionals, dietitians, nutritionists, personal trainers, each have their own opinion. Food plays a fundamental role in our health, unfortunately societal relationships built around family dining and cultural cuisines makes dieting difficult and often times, unsustainable. Dr. Cusimano, using only research and science, is passionate about articulating the health benefits of certain foods, the consequences of consuming others, and how by using neurobiology and psychology we can recreate our relationship around healthy lifestyle habits.

As a sponsored athlete, he is uniquely blending his understanding of biochemistry and human nutrition to optimize human performance and chronic disease prevention.

Dr. Cusimano is a bacteria and microbiome expert having worked on international art exhibits both at the Guggenheim Museum in NYC and La Biennale in Venice Italy under a new type of contemporary art, “BioArt”.

He is the founder of Surviving Medicine, a platform for healthcare professionals and is the host of the Surviving Medicine Podcast and a regular contributor for Medscape, The Differential, and Doximity.
