Frank Cusimano has a PhD in Nutrition and Metabolic Biology and is currently advancing his understanding of human health and disease as a medical student. As a researcher and scientist, he studied at the only nutritional research institute housed within a School of Medicine and is uniquely trained as the only medical professional with his type of training and expertise.
Lifestyle
From what we eat, to how much we sleep, to the stress we carry: Human optimization is dependent on one's diet and one's lifestyle. With a focus on a whole-food plant-based diet, lifestyle modification and exercise training: Frank uses science to study mental, physical, and emotional well-being.
Education
BS in Biology & BA in Chemistry: Southern Methodist University  |  MS in Biotechnology with concentration in Bioinformatics: Johns Hopkins University MA & MPhil & PhD in Nutritional and Metabolic Biology: Columbia University Institute of Human Nutrition
Fitness
Since 2009, Frank has been a competitive athlete. From powerlifting, to cycling, to triathlons, to running: Frank believes weight training, functional movements, and endurance training play an important role in human health and longevity. Current sponsors include: @NewtonRunning.

Human Optimization requires complete analysis of nutritional intake, sleep hygiene, stress management, environmental influences, community support, and emotional stability. While some claim to "BIOHACK" their way to better health; Frank uses an integrated approach to health and disease prevention using science, evidence, and personal research in three areas:
Nutrition & Metabolism
Human Physiology
Holistic Lifestyle
